Aaron E. Sprague: Aaron Sprague farms full time on his family farm in Northeastern Colorado.
The operation consists of dryland and irrigated cropping systems.
Major crops produced are corn, wheat, millet, and pinto beans.
Management duties on the farm include financial planning and
management, crop marketing, and production process planning and
implementation. Aaron is also completing his thesis requirements for a
Master of Science degree from the Department of Agricultural and
Resource Economics at Colorado State University.
His area of emphasis is in agricultural production and finance
with a special interest in risk management.
His thesis topic is the interaction of price risk management
alternatives and farm financial health.
He has extensive experience over the past several years with the
RightRisk Education Team’s development activities and with delivering of
risk management educational presentations to producers.
